As you all know the country Brunei and Philippines are near thats why Calvin joked about it but in Chinese culture the way he said it is insulting to the country Philippines and Ngar who translated this told me since she is Chinese herself and she even asked
her other friends who can understand and knows their culture and they agreed that when Calvin said that he did insult the Philippines.

yeah, i was able to watch it a while ago. i think he was just making sure wu zun will indeed go to brunei and not the philippines coz i think from taiwan, you'd have to pass the philippines before getting to brunei. i don't think it was an insult.

If I'll wll read the translation I would think that it's just a mere joke or something but I think some of the chinese-filipino here really think that Calvin really insults the Philippines. If it is true or not I may not be able to say. I just hope he just meant it as a joke..

And abbey, from taiwan to brunei they do not have to pass the Philippines. Although brunei is within the same longitude.
